Background
A seasoned Professional Engineer with technical, managerial and entrepreneurial, experience spanning over 20 years and work experience in maintenance, projects & design sections of the worlds’ largest synthetic fuel-from-coal petrochemical complex (SASOL). He has also worked for one of the largest multinational oil companies, in design/projects, operational support and equipment integrity & reliability management at the largest crude oil refinery in Africa (SAPREF). For the past 10 years, he has also been providing a consultancy covering the design, analysis and integrity assessment of equipment for various process industries.

In addition, Mr Sukaih is a graduate mechanical engineer, and is registered with the Engineering councils in South Africa and the UK, both as a Professional and Chartered Engineer respectively. Having extensive involvement in small to large multi-million rand projects which included plant and equipment design,
construction and commissioning makes him well positioned to install and assess processing equipment and successfully start up and commission processing plant. Further maintenance, and integrity assurance roles provide the basis for asset integrity management for operating plants.
 

He as holds a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) issued by the Department of Labour. Having these credentials and appointed as Responsible person in terms of the General Machinery Regulations (GMR2.1) in previous positions, therefore enables the assessment of safe operation, maintenance of plant and equipment and personnel and process safety. Mr Sukaih is also a certified as a Lead Auditor for the ISO 9000/14000 Quality Standards and environmental standards.

Mr Sukaih’s current job and consulting work and extensive experience, spans Engineering management, Project Engineering, Plant design, operations and management, and business process development.
